Mono-printing on Clay

If you love printmaking and clay this class is for you! If your simply interested in learning more about surface decoration with monoprinting come join us for this beginner to advanced intensive workshop, we will be making forms that are consusive to printmaking and exploring techniques that allow you to create prints that we will transfer to clay!
This one day workshop is a full day of clay! Tools, equipment, printmaking supplies, clay, glaze, and firings are included. We will also be providing lunch for this workshop.
Drop In Clay Time - Day time
For those of you looking for a place to work and make pottery this is for you! Come with your knowledge and play! We will gather on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from July 16 to August 15 for open studio! Drop in fee includes full use of studio. Clay is available for purchase per 25 pound bag. Bisque firing is included in class. Glaze firings will be charged per piece-glaze included in firing cost. (firing to cone 6 for now). Please RSVP via Text (719)371-3241 Message by noon if your going to be coming to open studio! We have a drop in fee bucket in the studio. :) Please dont register here but through text message. :)
Pottery Basics - Hand building and Wheel Throwing

In this 3 week pottery class, artists will have the opportunity to create projects on the potters wheel as well as learn handbuilding techniques. Shari has been teaching pottery for many years and taught at college level so she sure to be able to get you inspired to clay!
Classes are held Tuesday and Thursday afternoons from 2 to 5pm. There will be 3 weeks of wet clay firing and glazing. We always have a gathering/potuluck at the end of class to see and critique the finished body of work!
With the class you will have use of the studio equipment and tools, will recieve 25# bag of clay, firings and glazes included. You will get to make up to 12 pieces in class (if you make more there will be a firing/glazing fee applied)
Stained Glass Flowers!
Making stained glass flowers is FUN! You will be starting from scratch learning the basics of stained glass including the use of a pattern and cutting curved lines.

Batik!
Batik is a wax resist process that has been used in Indonesia since around 1400. This class is a simplified approach to batik that we will be creating artwork with wax and die. Come have fun while we play with tjaunting tools and colors! Class is between 2 and 3 hours :)

Five Week Watercolor workshop with Pat Wiles for absolute beginners or accomplished artists! In this five week classm each lesson will teach you some of the secrest of watercolor. Each painting is designed to illustrate many of the trick that make watercolor so easy! All of these paintings can be done by beginners or accomplished artists who want to hone their skills.
1. Trees: masking, resist, wet in wet, dry brush, monochromatic painting.
2. Mountain Fog: mounmtains, trees in fog, reflections on water, composition and focal points.
3. Flowers: masking, ghosting, flow, spatter.
4 Deer: Learn how to create many kinds of texture on a whimsical deer painting.
5. Buffalo: Splash and splatter, loose animal painting.
